BUYING & SELLING YOUR CAR
HOW TO BUY
For those who have never bought a car at auction before, the prospect may seem intimidating. Here at Worldwide, we seek to make the buying process as simple, stress free and enjoyable as possible. In this section we outline some of the key factors involved. We also invite you to study our Buyers Terms & Conditions of Sale, which form the basis of our contract with any purchaser. Please don't hesitate to contact either Abby or Sarah for any assistance. You may do so by clicking here or calling us at +1 260.925.6789 • The Worldwide Catalogue. Consignments for every Worldwide Auction are detailed in the beautiful color catalogues that accompany each sale. Consignments are presented in lot order, with photographs, extensive descriptions and an auction estimate. Catalogues, which also serve as auction admission for two, may be purchased in advance by clicking here or by calling +1 260.925.6789. You will also find up to the minute descriptions on all current auction consignments right here at wwgauctions.com. We welcome you to contact either Rod Egan or John Kruse for further details on any individual consignment. • Auction Estimates. Estimates provided in the catalogue are prepared by Worldwide in advance of the auction. Research on vehicle history, condition, rarity, information provided by the seller and recent sales of comparable vehicles all go into determining the final estimate. We would advise you to also undertake your own research prior to bidding on a vehicle. Auction estimates do not include the buyer's premium. • Previewing auction lots before the sale. Consignments may usually be physically previewed at the Auction Event Center on the day before the sale. Our motorcar specialists are always on hand to help. Detailed schedules for all auction previews can be found in the catalogue, here on our website or by calling +1 260.925.6789. • Becoming a bidder. Anybody wishing to bid at an auction must first register with us as a bidder. You may do this on site prior to the sale itself, or in advance. Where possible, we strongly advise you to register at least 2 weeks in advance to qualify as a pre-registered VIP bidder. VIP bidders enjoy a host of benefits including admission to our official Preview Cocktail Parties and comfort lounge seating during the sale. Our bidder registration fee is $150, which includes auction catalogue and admission for two. Please click here to register as an advance bidder. • Absentee and telephone bidding. Worldwide will accept absentee and telephone bids from those people who are unable to attend the actual auction. Bidders must first have completed our Absentee and Telephone Bidder Registration forms and read, understood and agreed to our Buyers Terms & Conditions of Sale. Both absentee and telephone bids will be executed on your behalf by a representative of Worldwide Auctioneers. • Buyers Premium. Worldwide Auctioneers charges a buyer's premium of 10% on automobiles and 15% on non-automotive items. • Payment options. Buyers may choose any of the following methods of payment. Cash (requires a $10,000 deposit), cashier's check, personal or company check accompanied by a pre-arranged Bank Letter of Guarantee, or financing through our finance partner, JJ Best. • Insurance. Buyers must be prepared to provide vehicle insurance information as Worldwide is not responsible for insurance. Our insurance partner Hagerty will be happy to provide assistance, should you require it. Please call +1.800.922.4050 or visit them online at www.hagerty.com • Shipping. It is the responsibility of the buyer to schedule vehicle transportation prior to the auction. There are strict deadlines for removing vehicles from the auction property and Worldwide will not be responsible for vehicle security after that point. Curves Ahead Transport will be on site to handle your transportation needs. Please call Tim or Camille at 800.869.4140 or log onto curvesaheadtransport.com for complete details. HOW TO SELL
